The schedule records B1 / T1 and B2 / T2 under TYPE/TASK. Exact course privileges, theoretical/practical elements, differences courses and delivery arrangements must be confirmed against the approved MTOE/AAA scope. A listing here is not a scheduled course offer.
A planning guide for maintenance managers and nominated trainees. The final course programme and administrative process are confirmed by AAA Cyprus before enrolment.
Identify the aircraft/engine combination, B1 or B2 category, existing qualifications and intended licence outcome.
Obtain the approved course specification, entry requirements, timetable, training elements, venue and written quotation.
Complete the agreed learning programme and required examinations. Where included and approved, complete practical training and assessment.
Check the Certificate of Recognition covers the completed elements. Discuss any remaining licence, OJT and employer authorisation requirements with the relevant parties.
Checks the aircraft type knowledge taught in the theoretical programme. EASA distinguishes this written knowledge examination from a practical competence assessment. The applicable course specification must identify examination sections, format, duration and pass criteria.
Where applicable to the confirmed programme, practical learning develops maintenance competence. Assessment considers knowledge, skills and attitude in relevant tasks. Confirm the practical element’s approval, task coverage, facilities and assessment arrangements before booking.
Ask how results are notified, what happens after an unsuccessful attempt and which training elements are recorded on the Certificate of Recognition. A course certificate does not itself amend a Part-66 licence or grant company certification privileges.
These are briefing topics, not a reproduction of AAA Cyprus’s approved examination procedure. The organisation’s issued instructions govern the event.
EASA’s guidance separates examinations conducted within aircraft type training from the “type examination” route that can substitute for training for certain other aircraft groups. For the aircraft listed on this page, request the applicable approved type-training specification; do not assume that a standalone examination replaces the training programme.
The regulatory standard and approved course/examination procedures determine assessment requirements. AAA Cyprus must confirm the applicable pass mark, examination section rules, waiting periods, permitted attempts, fees, result-review process and complaint channel in the candidate briefing. The approval certificate does not contain these details.
Practical type training and on-the-job training (OJT) are distinct. Additional OJT may be needed for a first type endorsement in the relevant category/subcategory. Confirm your individual route with the licensing authority and any OJT provider; this website does not represent AAA Cyprus as an approved OJT provider.
